The kids just call me Miss Jeni or Miss Jen (from my years as a nanny and preschool teacher, it just stuck! Sometimes, when she wants to get my attention, my own Mother even calls me Miss Jeni.) I love children and I love helping families discover new play things that create open-ended learning opportunities...they are all around us. I am particularly eager to assist families and children with special needs. My goal is to assist these families in finding toys that enhance particular therapeutic needs while allowing the child to play with things that his or her peers would also be playing with. I do not believe that "special toys" are required to address "special needs," only that special care and consideration be taken when choosing appropriate toys for any child!
